Hi Deirdre! You’re right, empathy and writing are both ways to get to a solution. I wondered if you could elaborate on HOW writing leads to a solution and HOW empathy leads to a solution. Examples from personal experience or what you’ve read would be great.
I’d also like you to review some rules on run-on sentences. Your first sentence, for example, is in need of some punctuation and conjunctions to indicate to the reader WHEN you’d like them to stop and/or take a pause. Here’s a good starting point: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/runons.htm
I’m looking forward to hearing more from you this semester!

Empathy and writing both lead to a solution because they are both ways to express. When expressions are accomplished, solutions are arrived at because there is now communication.
Writing leads to a solution because writing produces perception of a person’s thoughts, ideas, creativity, values and so much more. writing allows the individual to address an inner expression outwardly on a specific topic or topics.
I once worked at a company where alot of solutions was necessary for the improvement of productivity. Writing our personal views of what was needed played a key role in attaining great solutions.
Empathy gives you a better understanding of the problem or situation. when i was younger, and experienced being the new student in class; and the awkwardness it sometimes brought, having that experience led me to create solutions in helping someone who would later be in the same situation. My knowledge and understanding of the circumstance was a vital tool in coming up with solutions.
Thanks Deirdre! The example of work and school adds so much to your description of empathy.
